Itasca Post-Kickoff Workshop January 13

On Saturday, January 19th, ICC Engineering will host a workshop, 10 AM to 4 PM, for any FRC teams that would like to bring their robots (to date) for a group work session. Instructors, engineering students, and experienced team members will provide guidance and troubleshooting help on robot design, building concepts, a safety and inspection challenges to be aware of, programming, etc. This would be at the end of week 2 of the build season where the robots (for some) are coming together and (for others) may be a bit stuck.

2012 Minnesota Splash Training and Schedule

Team Leaders, this Saturday, Dec 8th, is the biggest FIRST training day of the year.  MN Splash has been going since the first Kickoff in 2007 and has continued to grow along with the number of teams.  Teams, students, and mentors have prepared seminars on everything from Fundraising to Drive Trains to Scouting.

FRC Robotapalooza

It’s Robotapalooza in Alexandria! FRC Team 3313 Mechatronics,Alexandria, Minnesota, invites West Central FRC Teams to a day of fun robotics-related activities at Jefferson High School, Alexandria, Saturday, December 1, 2012. There is no cost to teams attending other than transportation and pizza for lunch. Each team member should bring $5 for pizza, pop, and cookies. 3rd Annual Minne Mini Regional Filling Fast

The 3rd Annual Minne-Mini Regional will be staged at Prior Lake High School, Prior Lake. This year’s event will feature additional seminars and a regulation field for the competition. As in past years, this event will be a modified version of the game using 2012 Indiana Robotics Invitational (IRI) game rules for “Rebound Rumble.” Email Joe Passofaro, to reserve your team’s slot.

Minnesota Robotics Invitational Scholarship News

Vista Technologies LLC, a leading edge rapid prototyping, rapid tooling and injection molding company located in Vadnais Heights, is sponsoring two $500 scholarships to be awarded to 2013 high school graduates that will be attending college in Fall 2013. Scholarship applicants must be a member of a FRC team registered for the 2012 Minnesota Robotics Invitational (MRI).
